"There is a charge for a resort fee but there is no resort at this location. The hotel has a swimming pool but that is it. There is no lounge, no restaurant and no entertainment at night. Also, you have to check your charges on the final hotel bill. I am currently trying to get a credit for about $450 additional dollars on my bill for what I do not know. I have called the hotel several times for an explanation and to date I have received nothing. The room charge is about $550 per night and then there is the daily resort charge of $45 per night making the hotel just under $600 nightly. For a Hyatt Hotel this one falls short on quality and integrity"

"The staff is just great, we were spoken in french at the check in. The room was clean, bed very comfortable and shower with a perfect pitch. The pool area was very clean, the water was very clear and soft. Quiet environment. Air plane noise much more less than St-Marteen beach. The night staff called a cab for us and arrived withing 10 minutes. Staff is accommodating when you arrive early with your luggages. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. "

"We stayed a week and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located near everything you need and the beach view was memorable. The shower! The shower! The shower! We have been trying to figure out how to make our shower at home, like the hotel shower."

"Not very clean and bathroom faucet was not installed correctly, but did offer a kitchenette and laundry, but we did not use either. Much of the furniture was worn /damaged and we had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed."

"We had exceptional service in the pool area bar and Papaya Fernando and Pedro were absolutely fantastic, the first night there though we had a waiter ignore us for about 20 minutes after we sat down to have dinner and a cocktail finally my husband got up and went to the bartender and asked for drinks, then we finally ordered food, my husbands cheeseburger came out and he was finished eating and we were still waiting for my small pizza, we had to ask about the food and if they ordered it for me, I was going to sign up for the Marriott rewards program but this made me think about it and decided not to, we spoke to the manager and they were very kind we are not sure if we will go back"

"We loved staying at the playita. Great quiet place very clean and close to a lot of restaurants and 2 steps down to the beach. The cafecito in the morning was my favorite thing every morning. We love chatting with Mary and playing with coco and arena, the 2 dogs in the hotel. We will be back!"
