I am giving Canario 5 stars because I love the imperfection and quirkiness of a small inn in an old property hosted by lovely people who are personable and caring. That is what you will find at Canario. Is it perfect and new? No. But it is clean, comfortable and safe, in a great location, and it is reasonably priced as well. Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable bed, good coffee and filtered water in the communal kitchen. Would definitely stay here again. Great food and drinks at Burrito Social just up the street!

Quaint, older boutique hotel in a vibrant neighborhood. Small but served our purpose for 1 short night before a cruise. Very clean and comfortable. Got in late so needed to call the phone number to be let in, but helpful staff. Hot room, wish the AC had been turned on, we needed to figure it out. Found out in the morning that they have an adorable outdoor atrium and a kitchenette with fresh coffee and a water cooler. Safe, locked front door, could leave our luggage in the lobby until we were ready to leave for the ship.

Excellent location in Condado. Close to stores, restaurants and the beach. Nice courtyard area to relax in. Staff very friendly Cons: No elevator, low water pressure in the shower, lots of traffic noise if your room faces Ashford Ave. as ours did. The winding mechanism on the window was broken and the window would not close. Sleeping was difficult but beds were very comfortable. Good price for the location.

The room was very clean but old. The lady that welcomed us was very nice and professional. The guy that checked us out was very accommodating as well since our flight didn’t leave for several hours after check out. The only issue we had was that the TV comes on but you can’t get any channels and it was late so we didn’t bother. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. I see a lot more potential if a little updating is done to the rooms. It’s a great little place.

I think the hotel was good for what I used it for, A place to sleep & shower. I did the standard room, it was tiny for a solo traveler, can’t imagine it with another person. The shower water would go from hot to very hot, annoying but manageable. Room was clean. Shower was clean. AC was strong. The front desk were friendly and offered advice when asked. Great location. They provided beach towels and you have access to their sister hotels pool. They have a water filter in the common kitchen area & offer free coffee in the morning. Based on location, I would go back.

The room/bed was clean. But, the window screen was broken and the window itself partially open & wouldn’t close. The bathroom doorknob was very hard to use. There is no elevator so be prepared to walk up a narrow staircase and no porters. That being said it is a very convenient location and friendly staff. It is very near the beach and restaurants, bars, etc. but, if you want to sleep before midnight, look elsewhere. Reasonable prices.
