My sister and I have stayed here a few times when we meet up in Brisbane - the location next to Garden City shopping centre is so convenient for food and shopping (we both come from smaller towns). The rooms are clean and comfortable, although the bathrooms are a bit small. The free parking is a great bonus. There is a restaurant and bar at the hotel as well, which has reasonably priced food and drinks. Overall we really like it and will return.

The room had a lingering smell that was very reminiscent of old cigarette smoke, as if it had once been a smoking room and the odour was never fully removed. In the bathroom, there was visible mould in the caulking, which is not something you expect at this price point. The garbage bin was rusted, and the kitchen tap was broken, making it awkward to use. Cleanliness was another issue. The room door, along with many other doors throughout the hotel, appeared unclean, with greasy handprints on the handles and surfaces. These are small details, but they add up and affect the overall impression. Nothing here was catastrophic, but the accumulation of maintenance and cleanliness issues made the stay feel below standard for a Mercure hotel. With proper upkeep and attention to detail, this could be a much better experience, but at present it feels like the property hasn’t kept up with its past standard.

Loose toilet seat clesners should be reporting to maintenance. The common areas walking to your room on the floor smelt funky but not the rooms themselves. Didn't like not being greeting and just pointed to the self checkin machine.

I think the bathrooms could with a thorough scrub , and maintenance as around the hand railing near toilet the cover over the screws was sliding around, shower curtain replaced, mould in the grouting, other than that it was comfortable and mainly clean

The property is in a good location for public transport and close to westfield. The room was very clean but we were disapointed no micowave or toaster provided in room. Every other mecure we stayed in have these.we were booked for a longer stay due to a sporting event. I think this is something the motel need to invest in or should charge less

Breakfast was pretty average for the price. Could not get fried or poached eggs only scrambled and I have my thoughts it was made from powered eggs. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. House cleaning was hit and miss, we were there for five days and every day house keeping forgot to leave either coffee, milk, toilet paper or fresh towels. But all staff we had encountered were very helpful and friendly. But after having my rant I would stay again.

Upped prices significantly, but little improvement to the rooms. Bathrooms are still very run down and the shower was only lukewarm. Room was good to stay in and lobby seemws to have been freshened up. Would have been a 4 star based on cost couple of months ago but new cost is not great value for money

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5 years and it is disappointing to see the declined over that period. The standard of cleanliness in the rooms has decreased, it appeared that the carpet had not been vaccumed. The bathrooms are dated, so not sure if some of the stains can be removed anymore! I wouldn't recommend the buffet breakfast either, waited 45 minutes for the eggs to be replenished, despite reception asking the kitchen staff on my behalf. Then there were no folks or spoons (only knives) available and when I asked the kitchen staff, I was told they were in the dishwasher and I would have to wait (cold eggs now & 30 mins later than I wanted to depart). I stay here due to it's proximity to where my car is serviced, Westfields shopping and walkable dinning options. I'll be looking elsewhere next time!
