「The room was very clean」

「Look, don't get me wrong, it's not terrible by any means. It's just that for a hotel that's trying to play at this level, it struggles with some of the basics. If you're having a short stay there's no housekeeping by default, (which they don't tell you when you arrive) but there's only a small (non-heated) towel rail, so you're going to have soggy towels on day 2. Yes, there was a (small) sign in reception saying this, but it's the kind of thing it would be good for the receptionist to...

「A lovely light and airy room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed and plenty of clean towels. Staff were most welcoming and very helpful. Wonderful selection of goodies for breakfast. Fresh fruit every morning alongside a cooked breakfast and timings for breakfast most accommodating.」

「If you like Harry Potter, then you’ll like the accommodation, as there is a strong Harry Potter theme running throughout. That said, the cleanliness of the room occupied was at best ok while shelf space was extremely limited. Breakfast was a two-part affair, split between a cold buffet and a limited selection of hot food from the breakfast menu. The buffet was poorly provisioned when it comes to the likes of pastries, fresh fruit and yogurts with such items either lacking in variety or quantity,...

「The pictures on the site do not represent the reality of this hotel. It’s currently very run down and in need of lots of work. We stayed for 3 nights, we only had 3 towels and although we asked for more twice, were not given any and they weren’t changed during our stay. The bathroom looked new but unfinished. There was nowhere to put shampoo etc. in the shower, the floor was slippy (I bought a rubber mat for them) the toilet flush was dodgy and neither the fan or light above the mirror worked....

「Staff were brilliant I have had breakfast before and fantastic plenty to eat Bar. And outside area great lots of room Sad to say it all needs updating up stairs. All bathrooms need updating and decor and carpets need gone. Definitely the WiFi needs sorting out so you can get on it when you are in your room I wanted to chill out and watch Netflix but no internet Apart from that always a lovely stay and they accept dogs which is fab」
