「Property is self catering house at edge of the town. Spacious and decent kitchen. Road quiet (liked that) and easy access to nature reserve/countryside walks. Parking a bit of an issue but didn’t detract from our stay. 」

We did not receive the suite we specifically booked for its layout. The first room we were given was accessed through a pitch-black courtyard, which felt unsafe. Although the bedroom and bathroom were modern, the living area was echoey, with a flimsy falling apart table and a fold-out bed positioned in a room near the external door. This was unsuitable for our two young...

「Check in: at the bar. Wait for 5 minutes as the staff served at the bar at that time. Wifi: good. Room: spacious, clean. One grocery shop near by, 5 minutes walk. No self laundry service. Breakfast: not buffet except juoice, milk and cereal, ok, basic. 」

「Room was clean. Great value fir money unless youre unlucky enough to have a neighbour above you. The noise from the roon above was horrendous. Every footsteps echoes down through the floor. However the shower was hot. The room was comfortable and the bed was similarly comfortable. Can't and wont complain for 40 quid. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Recommended a lovely local curry house. Would use again would plum for an upper floor room if possible」

「Halifax Hall is a cute hotel that was a university residence. It is made of this great stone. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We have had rooms in different parts of the hall on different occasions. Our last stay had a smaller room but a beautiful view overlooking a garden. Breakfast was fantastic with cook to order hot breakfast.」
