Booked 3 double rooms on the 2nd floor, rooms were smaller than expected with walking space in the entrance quite tight but plenty of hanging soace and desk space. Bathroom was good size and sufficient for 2 adults. There are 2 lifts which are ok size and quite slow to arrive and leave considering the building is only 3 floors high. The hotel has 24/7 reception and staff were very helpful and professional. Parking is plentiful but can get surprisingly full at times. Parking price is £12 for 24 hours which is expected for city centre hotel. There is a nearby parking above the hotel parking which is private and not part of the hotel so beware if you want to park there. Overall clean and pleasant stay, hotel decor is a little outdated in places and brand of hotel suggests it would be better quality but overall it is good quality.

The room was clean, but the main door didn’t latch on its own and the strike plate was loose. I had to mess with it to get it to latch properly. The shower floor was ultra slippery and the lack of a shower curtain allowed the splashing water to spill out onto the tile floor making getting out treacherous. The soap did was hanging off the wall.The sauna was closed due to repairs and the pool closed early. The

Room bathroom handle broken + 2 light fittings not working. Toilets in bar all cubicles out of order. Swimming pool was nice but handrail was loose/detached at bottom of stairs. Tried to order food on Saturday night but initially told kitchen closed until 20:30 then staff told to push back to 21:00, we gave up walked to Lidl and bought sandwiches. Such a disappointment, thank goodness for the brilliant bar tender Jake on the bar - he was very polite, attentive and apologetic.

Staff very friendly . We had an issue and didn’t feel safe with a person who was drunk and they moved us straight away. Dining staff friendly helped find a table not in the sun as beautiful as it is . Plenty food. Buffet not very hot but that’s understandable for a buffet . Lovely stay

From the moment I checked in the plug sockets weren't working, so we had no electric to charge our phones. We had to go down to reception as when I used the QR code to whatsapp nobody replied and still haven't. I even rang it too. A maintenance guy came to fix the electric. I booked your hotel specifically to use the hot tub as I have a musculoskeletal issue. I went to use it to find it is not in use and somebody said it hadn't been since August. I would have appreciated the hotel contacting me to advise that your facilities were out of order as I would have booked to stay elsewhere. You have 2 air con units on the way to the changing room and in the women's changing room. The changing room 1 had a bucket under but the other didn't and the floor was slippy and a bit of water dripped on my head. This is not safe. The shower in the room must have a blocked plug hole, as when I showered I was stood in several inches of water. I have taken pics and will attach. The bathroom sink was the same. Took ages for water to drain down. We went out and came back late to find the room freezing cold and the heating did not work. We had to go down to reception to report and somebody came up with a portable heater. This was not adequate enough as I was freezing cold and couldn't sleep til after 2am. I reported these issues this morning and the receptionist apologised and asked me to email the manager, which I did but they are away until next week.

Staff were adequate although not overly warm. Building itself was not bad and some unique, kitsch touches around the place. Food was average. I stayed for 2 days on business and made the most of the room service which again was adequate. An okay place to spend 1 night if you had to.
