"Let’s start with the awesome staff, especially Chris, the manager. Customer service was definitely top-tier, and the bar, restaurant, and housekeeping staff were all excellent. The hotel is older, so keep your expectations realistic. That said, the room was very clean and well maintained. The elevator, however, could use a deeper cleaning. A beach-view room is definitely worth the extra cost. The room also included a coffee maker with very good coffee, along with a refrigerator and microwave, which are especially helpful for a longer stay. The food at Eighteen 18 Eat + Drink was great, although the drinks were a bit pricey. There is easy access to the beach, and I appreciated that guests must use their room key to re-enter the hotel from the beach side. It adds an extra layer of security. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (not fast food). In addition, USS Wisconsin, a World War II-era Essex-class carrier museum, is just a stone’s throw away. Overall, it was a great visit!"
