"Friendly staff and good breakfast, but the hotel is pretty worn down. We were intially given a room which was very dirty with dirty windows, crumbs on the floor, rusty extra bed, dusty fridge door and very dirty coffee table. After complaining to the reception, the gentleman rebooked us to another room which was much better than the first but still had mouldy grouts in the bathroom, dirty coffee table and sticky carpet in addition to scratched bedside table and the main table. We gave up changing rooms as it was only one night. Hotel does not meet expectation of a four star hotel and from what we saw hardly meets a three star hotel standards. Unfortunately very disappointing."

"We had a wonderful view in our 2 bedroom ocean view room but were a little let down by some of the upkeep of the room. Showers had some mould, some surfaces needed repainting and the roof in the lounge was sagging above the windows. We also kept finding long black hair on the floor. It was good having a vacuum but this was also a little dirty. The rollaway offered was very uncomfortable so we didn’t use it. Springs were missing making it sag and the mattress was stained. The spa was also not hot enough for my liking. We only used it once. The location of the property was amazing. The lobby, reception and pool areas all very clean and tidy. The gym was great too. It was great to have parking available and we were offered a day to park when we had to check out early which was nice. We were disappointed to learn that for the virtual golf that you needed your own golf clubs and that you had to book the movie room taking your own dvd. This was not mentioned on the website and were part of the reason we chose Artique having 3 teenage boys travelling with us. "

"On arrival expecting a quick check in after completing the online check in prior to arrival, there was only one staff member working at the desk assisting another guest. Their check in took a considerable amount of time and despite at least 3 different staff walking past and disappearing into the back office, not one person acknowledged me or offered to assist. We had housekeeping knocking on our door despite having the do not disturb sign up, she had mixed our room up with a guest who had checked out. We attempted to have breakfast at the restaurant but despite many unoccupied tables, they all had dirty dishes that had not been cleared. Attention to detail needed. "
