Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel & Conference Center

"The room was clean-ish.I'd suggest providing dish soap for those rooms that have a kitchenette. We used sanitizer wipes, but how did the people that stayed there before us wash the dishes?! ew. There was also mold spots in the bathroom. I get that it's wet, so bound to happen. Otherwise it was clean. The "arcade" is NOT an arcade- there were 2 games, pool, ping pong. 1 of the games didn't work. A few claw machines there and 1 didn't work. Vending machines were down some of the time. The ice machine by our room didn't work. It was kind of comical with all the "out of order" signs. When we got there, the pool was not working that day. Just a "sorry" was all we got- and "hopefully it will be working tomorrow". We drove 5 hours to stay here for multiple days. The kids were DEVASTED. We had to pivot as that was our plan that evening to swim. Luckily the pool was working the following day- but we never got a text like the front desk lady promised. Not a good way to start our trip. The hotel seems like in a good area. Marsha was great in the morning during breakfast. Breakfast itself was pretty good- standard hotel breakfast. I'm a Best Western rewards member and never did get my credit for my points for staying there. Overall, the hotel was nice. the pool was good size, hot tub worked well. Just a few things that could have been easily fixed."

"The stay was enjoyable! The view was beautiful! Food and service was great! The ac unit needed a filter change or cleaning, it didnt run well, tv remote was broken and the refrigerator was not working well. Otherwise, I will be back with my family!"

"This would be a great place for children. The pool area looked like a fun place for children. The room was nice and quiet. The breakfast was delicious. There is a Culver's right close, on the same street, so it made it easy to have a treat there."

"The room was clean. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The breakfast was good. The outside patio was a plus. Very nice place to relax. This is our third year staying 5 nights at a time while in the Galena area. Would recommend this hotel whether you are staying one night or several nights."

"Great location. Bathroom sink had a leak - reported this to the front desk. Lowonda - was excellent in keeping the breakfast area tidy. She is such a hard worker and kept this pace each day we were there. Disappointed there was no bread options for toast. Photo of the breakfast in the elevators were a bit deceiving. Waterpark was great and enjoyed the hot tub."
