「As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. 「The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time. 「What an absolute amazing stay at this beautiful Resort. We stayed during a snow storm and there is no better place be. It was warm, peaceful , clean and very relaxing and romantic Alfredo and Romona were very kind and hospitable. The fire place was a lovely touch and the hot tub inside was very romantic . I was also impressed with the water heater as the tub didn’t run out of hot water and it was the perfect temperature . The beds were so comfy, we slept very well. We will def be visiting...

The only complaint that I have is that it took forever for the heat to actually warm up when I got to the room it was off and then it took a couple of hours to get it up to 65 even but I still love the room and take a visit to the hot tub, which is really nice and warm, but the bubbles didn’t work but still had a great time.」
