"Enjoyed my two-night stay at Nena Beach Resort Hotel. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and has air conditioning and nice pool area. The walk from parking is tricky, and there are lots of local vendors trying to sell you. It’s a great spot if you want a nature-focused, local-living experience."

"The two men that run the place are the best! So nice and helpful . Gave us late breakfast because we sleep in. The Best arepas in Cartagena !! Small, quaint, need bug spray and water shoes. Beach lovely . Area shuts down pretty early so make sure you stock up on drinks and food. I asked for an extra fan they gave us one . Asked for a bottle of my preferred liquor they brought me one. I asked for help with my luggage they found someone. Take a boat there and back I do not suggest driving because...
"This beach is amazing & this is one of the nicest places here. Wi-Fi works well. The food is great & everyone who works here is really fun & friendly. No problem finding staff around when you need something (except in the middle of the night there is only a night watch person but no supplies or drinks or anything). This section of the beach is nice as well because it is pretty centrally located yet not as raucous as some other areas either with families during the day or parties at night."

There was no “Tranquility” at Freedom Beach. Not anything near what was expected. The only quiet time is after 20:00 hours when the crowds which start arriving at 9:00, have gone home. Disappointed. The bathroom was so poor, I couldn’t take a shower or sit on the toilet. "
