This hotel is 10000/10. Location was perfect. Getsemani is right out the back door, if going to Rosario islands the port is across the street as well as the walled city and La Torre Del Reloj. The rooftop bar, food and view were excellent. The hotel was clean, cute and had a great breakfast buffet or you could order from a menu at the table. We received exceptional service and care from Luis Alfonso. He assisted us with everything from restaurant recommendations to booking us a taxi at 4 am for our early flight. I cannot say enough great things about Luis or GHL Arsenal. You will not regret staying here. If we were to come back to Cartagena we would stay here again. The concierge also booked us a Rosario island tour of our choice and the boat was big, beautiful and most importantly very safe. Compared to the boats used when booking tours through street vendors or the shops in town. Highly recommend booking with the hotel directly.

Staff, room, service, internet service, and location were all excellent. Everything was maintained in spotlessly clean condition. The service felt genuine and personal. The area felt very secure, with no overly intrusive security presence. I could not be happier with my selection of places to stay. I would have liked 24-hour room service, but it was a minor inconvenience, as good food and drinks from street vendors were always available and only a 4-minute walk from the hotel.

Great location walking distance to everything but a bit away from the noise and bustle of the old city centre. Having the roof top pool was great. We had a problem with our AC. They came promptly to fix when they couldn’t that moved us to a new room. Karen the customer service rep apologized many times and sent a beautiful fruit basket to our new room. Can say enough about the GHL highly recommend and we would stay again. 10/10

This is a basic hotel. Like a basic Best Western. The rooms are showing their age, with some rough walls, worn decor and fixtures. It’s clean, and it’s fine, the bed is comfortable, but it’s nothing special. The pool lining is discolored and dirty looking. The staff are very friendly and courteous, the included breakfast is a great perk. The bar service at the pool is very very slow. Overall, it was fine, but I wouldn’t stay again.

A/C needs maintenance because it wasn't working properly at our room. Very clean! The pool and the rooftop need maintenance also, but we still enjoyed them. Service is just excellent. Breakfast was great too! Best location ever!!

My 7th or 8th time in this hotel due to the location, staff and amenities. The restaurant on site has yummy food and the rooftop pool is great especially in the late afternoon/evening. Staff is amazing.

Staff was courteous and professional. The hotel is close to a street full of great restaurants at excellent prices, and just one block from the new Absolute Cigar bar. It’s within walking distance of the famous Clocktower in the old city, yet far enough away to avoid the noise. Foreign tourists will be charged 19% tax on arrival on top of the price of their stay. Nice roof top pool. Clean and well maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at GHL Arsenal. From the moment we stepped in from the heat, Alfonso made our stay extra special by greeting us with a lovely welcoming smile and a cold, delicious mixed fruit drink. It was perfect timing and set the tone for the rest of our stay. Breakfast was a la carte with lots of options and the happy hour drinks helped to end the day. The rooftop infinity pool was by far, the highlight of our stay. The incredible views of Cartagena's harbour were perfect up there. All in all, Alfonso and the rest of the staff made our trip a memorable one.
