"The room was nice and quiet and the beds and pillows were very good. The pool and hot tub were clean and great temperatures. The breakfast has a lot of options but the quality was like your average hotel. Unfortunately it’s an old building and there was a lot of humidity inside the room, so it did feel and smell that way. It didn’t feel humid outside but for some reason our room was quite musty. Location is pretty good and on the weekends there is free trolley that starts and end right next door, taking you to balboa and the beach."

"Great place to stay right across from the beach. Lots of food options nearby. Staff is friendly. Had a nice time. (Just be aware it’s hard to get to at night with roads closed off due to nighttime beach closure, and parking not so great due to limited & tight spots also there are bars nearby that are noisy late into the night.) Would definitely recommend staying here it’s super cute & very convenient for beach fun.."

"It was a very busy Saturday. We drove up to the registration/valet area and I got out to go register, my husband stayed in the car. The first person I encountered was dressed in hotel attire and since I knew the lobby was under construction I asked her where the lobby was. She pointed to the restaurant and said I think it's through there. So she sent me on a wild goose chase until I was rescued by the nicest, sweetest man named Ted. Come to find out he was the concierge. He was so helpful, he walked me over to the lobby. We checked in and later came back down to the lobby and ran into Ted again. And again he was most helpful. He gave us names to restaurants in the area and ideas of what to do during our stay. The second night we went to the hotel restaurant after a day of fun and had a drink at the bar. We gave our name to the hostess and she said she would call us in 20 minutes for dinner. After about 30 minutes she comes over to us at the bar and told us it will now be an additional 40 min before she could seat us. We were very much under the impression someone more important must have come in and she seated them instead. Never went back to eat there after that."
