"John Muir lodge is the only place where to spend the night outside the north part of Sequoia Park. Very basic lodge for the price. Limited water pressure in shower. Clean and large room. No A/C only heater. Coffee in the room but no breakfast at the lodge. The restaurant is 5 min walk from there to offer basic lunch, diner and breakfast. "

"The property is a ranch well maintained. The host makes the breakfast which is really amazing and delicious. For us she made Biscuits and Frittatas. Very yummy and delicious served with fruits, coffee and juice. We were travelling with kids who had fun in the evening and were engaged in the activities. The host did talk to us and share good experiences. It was fun and overall a wonderful experience."

The area around where the rooms are was a little worse for wear. But the room was clean enough, and I really, truly loved the sheets that were on the bed."

"The gateway to the sequoia. Highly recommend The River inn. The staff are just amazing and super helpful. The room (cabin) was very comfortable. We actually booked a room and wanted to use the grill but it was not available so the put us in the cabin at no additional charge, i was able to cook right in the kitchen. We will be back as this is a great little place"
