I stayed two nights and all the staff including front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were customer friendly and efficient with one exception. I returned back to the main entrance of the hotel on the second night after a long day of attending a burial and memorial service. I made the mistake of asking the person standing at the concierge desk to clarify the direction of the room elevators. He responded demanding to know my room # that I had not committed to memory. His hostility made me feel more like somewhere attempting to cross enemy lines than a paying guest of the hotel that employs him. Overall Chicago is one of the friendliest big cities, Hilton needs to lose this guy fast."
