"Unsure how this hostel has such high ratings. Room was hot, stuffy and smelt like mould with no ventilation. Bathrooms werent cleaned frequently and staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Only positive was the location."
"If you are not spending much time in the room or would like to prepare your own food (my room had a stovetop and microwave oven), then this is an ok to good option. The location is really good as it is across the street from Príncipe Pio station. If you’re there for business or staying longer, I suggest finding a different hotel as you will not feel comfortable. The room I got was not in good shape (ex broken floor planks and the floors were generally not clean), the hotel did not have an iron to press clothing (they didn’t have enough and asked me to check in daily to get one), cleaning service is every two days, and their shampoo/conditioner is of cheap quality. The breakfast was ok also and inconvenient as it is not buffet style- you have to actually order and have it prepared (but at least it gave me a chance to practice my Spanish daily). I think my major takeaway is that I did not look forward to arriving at the hotel at the end of each day and as a result I would not book this hotel again."
"Gave us a room next to elevator which we only discovered was noisy at 6am when we were woken by constant noise. Should have done better as we paid extra for deluxe rooms. Also we’re not able to give twin beds which we
