"It was awfully rxpensive, but apparently there was a meeting going on in town so most hotels were booked and those that weren’t definitely had surge pricing! I’d have liked a vending machine with the ice machine on the halls. We just wanted to have a Coke in the room and you couldn’t. We even asked at the front desk if there was a vending machine anywhere nope so we went to the restaurant to order a couple to go (no room service option) and they said I’m sorry food and drink can’t leave our restaurant. I said not even a Coke? And was told sorry policy. So that was weird. Otherwise the room was spacious, the staff was nice. "

"Staying at the Arlo over Easter weekend STOOD OUT as our best stay this year. It was genuinely higher end and simultaneously a good value. The decor, room finishes, amount of space was 10/10. The staff was above and beyond nice. Don’t waste time anywhere else, just stay here and enjoy. "

"We do monthly staycations. We booked for one day and extended for one more day. That’s how much we loved the hotel, the room and access to The Perch. Breakfast was amazing. Very clean. Great staff. We plan on returning for next months staycation."

"The hotel was not very clean overall. The beds are old and uncomfortable, leaving us in pain. When checking the mattress for bugs (no, I didn't find any), I was disappointed with how stained the mattresses were. The sofa in the room was filthy, as was the elevator (see photos). There was no working vent or window in the bathroom. The AC turns itself off in the middle of the night, making the room very still and too warm. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 11:00 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., it was closed. We only wanted coffee but were told they "closed early." No reason given. We were not told upon reservation there would be a large fee per night to park. Update: had to call and get the receipt mailed to me, even though it was promised at checkout. Staff who answered was extremely rude and annoyed with the simple request. The itemized bill showed tax on the parking plus a previously not disclosed credit card fee. Interesting because I was told cash wasn't even an option for payment (usually it isn't at hotels so I was not surprised). How can you charge someone extra to pay the only way you allow payments???? Will not return to or recommend this hotel. Our total bill was significantly more than when booked. And no, we used zero amenities. "
