「The towels in our room were stained and had holes in them, looking more like old shop rags than hotel towels. The room phone did not work, so I had to walk to the front desk to ask about a rollaway bed. Our reservation clearly indicated 2 adults and 3 children, yet the room did not have a couch, pullout bed, or any other sleeping arrangement for a fifth guest. 「If you are looking for a charming, historic hotel that makes you feel like you have stepped back in time- this is the one. Being served on the veranda sitting in comfy chairs and admiring the giant magnolias = perfection. The staff is wonderful, and the complimentary breakfast was just right. Sadly, no ghosts visited us, but maybe next time.」
