「Really friendly and welcoming host with tea and freshly baked cake. Room was spotless and breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and we also had freshly baked muffins. You won't go wrong by staying here!」

「Very accommodating staffs, gave us a very warm welcome. Our room was at the end in the second floor, was nice and quiet. Room nicely heated, get some insects in the room if windows are opened(even in winter), but not a big problem at all. Overall a very lovely hotel with nice dinner and breakfast. 「Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend.」

「Big, clean comfortable room, ideal for a family of 4. Staff were excellent and food at dinner and breakfast were really good - a good step up from standard pub food. Home made cookies, and crayons and activity sheets for the kids in the room were a lovely addition.」

「We were upgraded to the Cuckoo suite which was lovely overlooking the lit gardens. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The Close breakfast menu was also very good with lots of choice, we had Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine which were very nice.」
