PUB GREAT PLACE, VERY NICE DECOR, BREAKFAST EXCELLENT. THIS TIME ROUND NEXT DOOR ROOMS TAP/WATER RUNNING NOISY, BED SQUEAKY. PREVIOUS STAY VERY QUIET. BATHROOM NEEDS UPDATING.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The White Hart Hotel. Very quiet accommodation, amazing choice of food, staff very polite.
The breakfast felt like 4 star quality. Food hotcabd generous portions.
The shower was so nice. Everything clean too.
Its a dog friendly place too except l didn't have mine with me.
The facilities were very good. Staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay anymore perfect. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend a visit.
A brilliant place to stay in an historic old thatched English pub. Accommodation is seperate very quite clean and comfortable.
Staff were so good cant recommend enough
Room was lovely, cosy and very spacious. The actual pub was quaint, great menu, enjoyed our meal and the service was fantastic!! A good find and everything you need nearby plus a 8-10 min drive into Swindon.
This is a wonderful place not far from the motorway and within spitting distance of the science museum.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and warm.
The staff were very friendly and always happy to help out.
I will definitely stay here again when working in the area.
The White Hart is wonderful; all the staff (too many to name), were so accommodating and kindhearted. I was welcomed and treated like family versus „just another guest.“ What an amazing experience!
I was warmly met when I went into the main pub to check in. The accommodation was in a separate building at the back. I had a lovely room upstairs with a small balcony which was a nice addition for such a lovely evening. The area around the pub was conducive both for a long walk as well as dining options. The room was clean with good decor and good spec fittings. This was for all areas except the shower/bath combo which had a clunky shower curtain which restricted movement. This was instantly forgiven, however, when I discovered the shower head had 3 settings, one of which was comparable to a shiatsu massage which was sorely needed. I had a decent night's sleep although a fan in the room would have been a nice touch. Breakfast seemed to have been sourced locally and was cooked very well. All in all I very much enjoyed the stay and would look to book myself in there again when I am next in the area.
A very enjoyable stay. Plenty of free parking. Staff helpful and friendly. Food very good. The only downside was the overall cleanliness of our room (number 10) plenty of cobwebs in the bedroom (Should take less than 5 minutes to remove them) The bathroom could do with more time spent on it. We found the previous occupants hair in the bath. Around the taps could do with a good clean and maybe a new clean toilet seat. Little things that make a massive difference. With a little extra cleaning you would have 5*****
This is a great little place to stay on your travels, but please call them to check if they do food before you book. Unfortunately, I checked in, asked to book a table and was told they don't do food on certain nights of the week. It would have been nice if they had let me know. They recommended the pub across the road for food, but i didn't fancy walking around a place i didn't know on my own. The rooms are great though. Definitely worth a look.
Very nice hotel
Staff were very warm polite and professional
Very good evening meal. Great breakfast and good value
I will be staying again
Regards
Ian
Delightful thatched country pub with modern rooms to the rear. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very good and a varied menu provided a good choice of faire. Room was a good size and comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay overnight here with our dog. The pub is very dog-friendly and we were able to eat in the restaurant with our dog. The room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom, and the food was very good.
The owner was very responsive to questions before we arrived and very helpful.
Highly recommended!
