"Great location, comfortable beds, and easy check-in. The room itself was nice, although the bathroom had a questionable tile job that made parts of it look less clean than they probably were. Our biggest surprise was discovering that the bar downstairs turns into what can only be described as an all-night dance party. The music was so loud it literally shook the building, making it feel less like a hotel stay and more like we had accidentally booked a room inside a rave. If you’re planning to stay out late and join the party, you’ll probably love it. If you’re hoping to sleep, bring earplugs and get ready to lose sleep it’s that loud. Aside from the nightclub-level soundtrack, we enjoyed our stay."

"We had the room for only 1 night, arrived late and needed to leave the next morning early. The morning of checkout we realized the shower did not work. The shower did not have a drain plug. Also the iron stand was falling off the wall. For the price we paid, this was especially disappointing. We did not have type to correct the issue with the shower and had to leave. Very sub par compared to the Hyatt regency we stayed at the 2 nights previously"

"We loved the Arlo's location—it was perfect for exploring Manhattan, from Midtown and the Upper East Side to SoHo. The hotel has a great vibe, and we especially appreciated the well-equipped gym, which made it easy to keep up with our workout routine while traveling. During our six-day stay, we had breakfast at the hotel once but weren't particularly impressed. That said, the staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. The bar and adjacent coffee shop were both excellent and incredibly convenient. While we wished the rooms were a bit more spacious, the overall experience was very positive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return."

"The hotel and rooms are old. It's noisy outside. There were workers doing maintenance, which wasn't a great experience. Even though the guy gave us a better room, it still wasn't clean or modern enough. The New Yorker Hotel has a good reputation, and I hope they take better care of it in the future."
