「Staff excellent, basic amenities lacking in room and condition of fittings/shower etc rather tired. 」

「Parking and check in were easy. We had to request a hair dryer and when that finally arrived we had noticed there was no tv remote control. So had to ask for that as well. The curtains were broken and hanging off the track in several places. The pipes made a squealing noise when the shower was turned on. 「The ceiling was leaking liquid down the bathroom wall. The room was not set up for 2 people. There should be a shelf in the shower to hold shampoo, wash gel, etc. Could not figure out how to turn on towel warmer. Upside is the you g lady at the reception desk was very responsive. 」

「Good points: Staff were friendly, accommodation was clean and tidy and food provision and bar was satisfactory. Poor points: The room was pretty sparse and lacking any warmth or character as were the rest of the facilities. We didn’t try the Spa or Golf, so can’t comment on this. gym, sauna, hot tub type facilities (which I would be happy to pay for) are pretty standard in most ‘Spa’ hotels so I felt a bit cheated.
