"Upon check-in, I was charged an additional ¥21,000 for having two guests instead of one. While I understand this may be hotel policy, there was no price difference shown during booking whether I selected one or two guests, which made the charge feel unexpected. We have never encountered this issue elsewhere while travelling.
When we entered the room, it was noticeably dirty. There was hair in the shower and throughout the bathroom, surfaces had not been cleaned properly, and there was visible dust around the room.
The final issue was the luggage delivery service. We were travelling as three separate parties with different bookings. Our friends used the app, while the staff member assisting us said he could process ours manually. Unfortunately, he entered the wrong arrival date. As a result, our friends’ luggage arrived at the next hotel on time, while ours was held back until the incorrect date he had written down.
From start to finish, the experience was extremely disappointing, especially as first-time visitors to Tokyo. I have never written a hotel review before, but this stay left us frustrated enough that I felt it was necessary."
