"If you’re on a low budget, and are looking for a place to simply rest your head for a night or 2, this hotel will work for the short -term. There’s nothing flashy about it. The staff was very kind and probably the best aspect of the hotel. The sheets and towels were kinda dingy, and not as clean as we’d of liked them to be, meaning there were visible spots (looked like plasma stains to us but it could have been something else) on them. A simple shower, quickly became a bathtub of water bc the drain was not draining fast enough. Many hotels will refresh your towels and room while you’re gone. This was not the case for our room. All these things are manageable, if you don’t mind them. If you naturally enjoy good quality & overall hospitality/service when you’re away on vacation or at any given hotel, go elsewhere. If you just need to crash for the night, it’s worth it for the price. You do get what you pay for."

"The front desk clerk working 04/18/26 at 3:30 PM seemed disinterested in welcoming me to the hotel. He was just matter-of-fact. No pleasantries. He did, to his credit, let me know that the elevator near the front of the hotel was not working, and I would need to drive around to the back to use Entrance ‘C’ elevator. This elevator was functional, but rather utilitarian. Not pleasant looking. The room itself was clean and served its purpose. When I went to sleep that evening, I did notice that the AC unit wasn’t cooling properly. Maybe this is my fault, but I don’t think this is something that should work the way it ended up working. The AC unit kept shutting off after a few minutes, even though the room temp was warmer than the temp I had set on the AC unit. I then realized that the inside curtain length was too long, and was hovering just above the AC vent, which wasn’t allowing the air to circulate thru the room, and would cause the AC to shut off. The following morning, despite me having the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, at 9:45 AM, the Housekeeping Staff still knocked on my door asking if they could provide Housekeeping. The place is ok if you just need it for an overnight stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a multi-night stay. "

"The breakfast is not free.. $20 a person which is absurd for a hotel breakfast and the bartender said he didn't know how to make mixed drinks but the hotel was fine otherwise. Checked in early too."

"Hilton Homewood Suites UAB (the 2-room suites are awesome) is a very nice hotel within close driving proximity to shopping and restaurants. Check-in was extremely easy and because they were super busy and the luggage carts were all in use Ms Chris and Ms Sondra from Management volunteered to help us with all of our luggage. We were very much appreciative of their help!!!"

"The elevator was out of service our entire stay. Wednesday to Sunday. Using the service elevator or taking the stairs. Not ideal. Our room was missing a trash can, toilet paper, ice bucket. We were given an ice bucket from the banquet center and then the ice machine didn’t work. We didn’t get service to our room for 2 days. When we finally did, it was half assed. The toilet and floor weren’t cleaned, they took the hand soap then didn’t replace with another one. Certain employees were great though. Valet attendant was helpful and nice, one cleaning lady tried to help us and the food service manager was the one to get us fresh towels after we didn’t get service for 2 days. "

"The air freshener in the lobby and in the floor hallways was disgustingly strong, and it leaked into the bedroom. There was no pool bar, as advertised 😔 The pillows were uncomfortable, but otherwise, clean rooms and hotel."
