「Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. Staff were great, Room was good and reasonably comfortable but we fail to see how it qualified to be DeLux. Staff were kind & welcoming on arrival, the room was clean and comfortable and well appointed, we had dinner in the restaurant which was really nice, drinks were a big pricey but I guess that's hotel pricing. Breakfast was really good, freshly prepared and very tasty. All in all really good, the only minor negative was the dated bathroom in our room, however the shower was really good, powerful and plenty of hot water so, does that really matter? 」

「I couldn’t have been happier with my stay at the Old Deanery. Incredible location for the Cathedral, Hornblower, etc. My room looked directly onto the Cathedrà and was such a treat. Lovely comfy bed and the room was spotless. Delightful staff, who couldn’t do enough for you. Special shout out for Tom, who is just the nicest chap, but everyone was wonderful. The most beautiful breakfast with homemade breads and granola plus a fresh home cooked breakfast. I will absolutely be coming back...
