「We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's off I-35 about half a mile and so very quiet. The building is well-maintained, the room was very clean, and the beds comfortable. We're not much for breakfast so the limited choice wasn't a problem, but might bother some. There were pancakes and sausage gravy for hot items along with the usual selection of cereal, instant oatmeal, and breads.」

「There were 3 crackers making noise all night long after turn off the light& cost me over an hour to find/kill each one after another but the the 4th cracker is stilling there, so finally I give up & checked out around 03:20 am in the small hour. The staff's response was: "There is the season......" Request full refund damage.」

「The Smithville Inn was very clean. The room had a large bathroom with a bathtub and shower. It is up a flight of stairs and there is no elevation. the staff was very helpful. They picked me up at the airport and took me back the next day. There is a kitchen where you can cook food if you want and make coffee. 「This was a unique stay in an old mansion, which was very well decorated. I loved the furniture!! Quiet neighborhood, and a friendly Siamese cat that demanded cuddles on the front porch, which I gladly gave. I was in town to visit my cousin who goes to Benedictine College, so didn't really do much in St. Joseph itself, except eat dinner at Boudreaux, which was tasty. 」
