"Wonderful experience, great location, friendly lovely hosts."

"Right across from the Kyoto main train station. And a real ryokan! The staff were so polite and respectful and helpful. Of course for westerners was a bit uncomfortable sleeping on the floor on futons but something you have to try for Japan! This hotel has an old world charm and the attentions at breakfast made us feel very welcome and special"

"Very good location to stay in Kyoto. In the center of Kyoto and very near to Kyoto train station"

"The staff were friendly and the location was convenient. The hotel however was very dated and the rooms were basic. Onsen was clean and there was free tea and coffee. If you want a quick easy stop then it’s not too bad but like I said. Basic"

"Fantastic stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and the experience was very relaxing. Be sure to include the evening meal in your stay, it's seasonal, local, beautiful, delicious and really interesting."

"Wonderful place to stay! The townhouse was a work of art and everything was very clean."

"The worst place to have one night stay. This is not a Ryokan in fact. Trust me. You shiukd have enough time to make decision!"

"Very traditional from your normal hotel. Close to teain station and many restaraunts near. Staff was by far the most helpful with anything you needed. Small breakfast area on Floor 2 each day "

"Clean room, friendly staff and wonderful breakfast"

"Great Ryokan!"

"The breakfast was amazing."

"The staff was very helpful. The place is closer to the woods, but still in a residential area. It was a pleasant experience."
