「Had a lovely time at Fonab Hotel. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. Food was excellent (ate dinner and breakfast), and the spa was outstanding. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here. 」

「Beautiful property and lovely staff. We’d definitely return- The only thing I think travelers might want to know is that the bathroom, although only for our room’s use, was across the hall. Minor inconvenience, but some people might want to know. 」

「We have stayed at the Dunalastair a couple of times and really enjoyed each visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms very well appointed and clean. The lounge areas are great and we also liked the restaurant and the food. The hotel and area is also very quiet. Nice views of Schiehallion too! Recommended for sure.」

「I cannot say enough about the most wonderful staff at this hotel. They were so friendly and accomodating. The meals were superb, and the view from the dining room unmatched. It is to be expected that it is an older building and some things are a little different, make sure if you have mobility issues to ask questions before you go. I did see wheelchair ramps. We truly enjoyed it and wish we had stayed another night or 2 to walk the grounds.」

「I have reserved a room with private bathroom...It is supposed that it is an ensuite bathroom. Finally, it found that the toilet is in the room, but the bathroom is opened for public. It is a little shock. Luckily, the nice staff was willing to upgrade our room to REAL ensuite bathroom...」

「Just that there is no one at the reception in the morning like we stayed for 2 nights. After 1 night I had questions and there was no one to talk to and the next day after checkout when we wanted to exit the gate and the automatic control was not working it had to be manually controlled and there was no one for that. We had to ask someone in the cafe to help out in that.」

「Stayed here for the Saturday night with the mrs. Rooms were very nice and bed and furniture were comfortable. Very nice location! Pool and spa was excellent for being in an hotel! Only downside was having to pay for a hot breakfast when the room we bought came with breakfast included, so that spoiled things a little. Cooked breakfast should be included when it says breakfast included so a bit false advertising for me.」

「A lovely overnight stay」

「Fantastic setting. Accommodation ideal for a home from home experience. Some of the furnishings are looking tired however Chalet was spotlessly clean, plenty hot water and heating. So much wildlife to watch from dawn to dusk. Restaurant provides plenty options to please most people. 」

「We spent a night at the Glencoe Inn so that we could explore Glencoe. It is extremely convenient as a location for that. Little pricey as an exclusive option in that area, but the room was spacious and well kept. Cute restaurants attached. Petrol station and convenience store next door. It’s right on the highway but not too much noise. Staff was very friendly. Overall great stay and we would choose them again if exploring Glencoe. 」

「Lovely hotel and facilities, the view of the loch is spectacular and peaceful. The room was very clean and comfortable, the only minor negative is the extractor fan didn’t work in the toilet and there was no window. The restaurant and food was amazing, breakfast, great choice and beautifully made. The staff were all really nice and welcoming, the waiting staff really nice, but special mention to our waitress Mara, she served us with a lovely big smile. Would definitely go back. 」

We enjoyed the spa, which had a nice variety of experiences to relax and unwind, with lovely views from the outdoor sauna. 」
