My experience was incredibly disappointing. I had booked a room for a honeymoon trip with my wife during our roadtrip to Oban. However, when we arrived, I discovered that our room was in the basement, yes a basement with just a tiny window looking out at car wheels above ground level. It was completely misleading. When I asked for a refund, I was told to contact Expedia. After reaching out to them multiple times, they confirmed that the hotel owner had refused the refund. The staff were unfriendly, and the owner lied repeatedly about canceling my reservation putting on Expedia. The room itself was cramped, with a small TV and a musty smell throughout. If your room isn't on a higher floor with a sea view, I strongly advise against booking this hotel. Let me know if you need any more adjustments!

Stayed here before in june and was impressed by everything. This time there has definitely been a standard drop in places...starting with the room room itself was clean and presentable but lots of marks on the wall...again with the bathroom it was clean but shower was showing signs of mould and the shower pipe was split causing spray and loss of pressure, there was an unpleasant smell in the stairwell to the rooms and the carpet was dirty,

The Oyster Inn was a quick stop in Oban for us, and was very convenient on our way to the highlands. The staff were very friendly. The inn is in Connel, just outside of Oban, and is more of a residential area so there’s not much to do if you’re planning on staying longer.

We were fortunate to have a front facing room with balcony overlooking the loch which was fantastic. Food was good snd staff were very welcoming.

The place is okay. The price is a bit expensive compared to the room I got. It seems old and there is a lot of noise from the neighboring rooms next door and above. The room faced away from the sea, and the ventilation from the kitchen came up outside the window. It is clean, neat and has a nice bathroom that seems new.

What a stunning location , looking over water and mountains , the staff was very friendly , food was exceptional , the room was spacious with clean comfortable bed , excellent shower , really would of liked if we could of had a room at the front overlooking the bay , but we had dogs , and only rooms available for dogs was at the rear , but all in all an excellent place for our holiday , many thanks Jeff and Toni

The positives far outweigh the one negative, so I’ll start with those. The staff was lovely, and the restaurant was very good for dinner our first night. The breakfast package was wonderful. The location was great, as well. Also, the shower was terrific. Our one negative was our sleeping situation. I booked a room for three people, and our daughter had to sleep on a very squeaky cot.

The hotel and it's staff were lovely. However after booking through Expedia what we believed to be a balcony room with a view, we were swiftly changed and downgraded to another room because we had a dog. Yet the room charge stayed the same? I am sick and tired of booking through 3rd party site's using the correct methods given, to be constantly penalised and clearly downgraded because of our dog. How can it be consistently acceptable for dog owner's to not only be downgraded to what the "hospitality" business call a "dog friendly" room, which usually has the view of a dingy car park and a considerably stained carpet , to then charge extra for the so called privilege! I'd like to know what exactly the extra charge for a dog goes on as it's clearly not used for a carpet cleaner!

It’s nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s only about a 20 minute drive from Oban. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good - food was delicious - recommend you make a reservation for dinner. They do have a restaurant but we much preferred the atmosphere in the pub.

I always stay here when I’m working in the Oban area. The rooms are clean and tidy, especially the new rooms with the terrace or balcony, lovely for a sit down in the evening sun with a glass of wine. The food in the bar is always tasty with good sized portions with a good selection on beers and wines. Breakfast is top quality too. Most importantly, the staff have always been brilliant here, always polite with time to spend with you for a wee chat and service is always prompt. I will continue to stay at this property when I’m in the area.
