「This charming traditional hotel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location, only 3 mins walk to the seafront. Our room was spacious and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Sidmouth itself is a delightful English seaside town with plenty to see and do, eg walking options a plenty, repertory theatre, open air concerts in the seafront gardens and a variety of exhibitions. 」

「The hotel staff were always extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was well kept and clean. The room was very pleasant and spacious with it's own balcony. The tea and coffee selection in the room was very good. The restaurant was very well laid out with plenty of room, the service was very good and the breakfast menu had plenty of options with everything being well prepared and tasty.」

「Booked this hotel as an overnight stop for its convenient location. However, it exceeded all our expectations Clean and quiet, helpful staff and the room was spacious and calm. Great night's rest in a comfortable bed with good pillows. Breakfast, in the morning was good quality and locally sourced. Quality balanced with ecology due to its carbon neutral operation. 「The rooms we had were a big step above the student rooms we had back in the 1980's although they could benefit from better ventilation in hot weather. The fact they had ensuite facilities and lifts helped greatly. The breakfast was very good indeed and the staff very professional and friendly.」

「A beautifully kept Inn, with a friendly and efficient team running the hotel, bar and restaurant. Lots of parking spaces, the room was spacious and clean with a great view. 」

「Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay 」
