Lovely old coaching inn in excellent location. Room was large and comfortable but why only one chair for a double room. Lift was useful but some stairs inevitable as it’s a really old building. Car park an excellent bonus. Breakfast choice okay but none of the cereals were sugar free There appeared to be an atmosphere amongst the staff, maybe a result of the recent new managerial change

It was a great location and only a few minutes walk to Exeter Quay. The carpets in the public areas looked very old, tired and in need of a clean. Nice clean bed linen but room wasn’t serviced during our stay. Bedroom door had a big gap at the bottom which let a lot of corridor noise and light into the room.

My room was great. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, and the coffee sachets in the room were the best I've ever tasted. The location is so central to all I wanted to visit. All this in a 600 year old place is something special. Highly recommend.
