Waterloo Cross, Devon by Marston's Inns

10/10 Excellent

"Great hotel Lovely pub"

The Roost

10/10 Excellent

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Roost. The room was clean and super comfortable. Very detailed check in/check out/parking instructions were sent in advance which made it really easy to find on a dark stormy night! There was a small fridge in the room and there were plenty of suggested places to eat in the welcome pack. It was the perfect lay over for us with a small human in tow :)"

Newcourt Barton

10/10 Excellent

"Room was well furnished and had everything we needed including a bottle opener, wine glass, even a hot water bottle! Bed was comfy and there was a really useful folder of info in the room, the owner had included a few suggested walks around the property which was great and we did one of them just to stretch our legs. Ample parking, and the property was very well kept, no issues with noise or anything from the farm we were attached to. Loved the fact the owner offered proper milk for the rooms rather than UHT milk in plastic pots, you just went and got yourself a little jug from the communal fridge downstairs. Breakfast was brilliant and had everything you could wish for - cereal, toast, full English, pancakes, fruit - we're not GF but there were gluten free options which was good to see. My pancake stack was homemade and beautifully presented, and my partner was particularly complimentary of the bacon! Had a brilliant stay here, host was friendly without being overbearing, would definitely recommend this place - excellent value for money."

Anchor Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Really lovely stay after an event at the pub. Newly decorated room and new bathroom with a lovely shower. No jet bath as advertised as this was apparently removed when the bathroom was renovated. Very large and comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast too - with plenty of toast! Ran out of veggie sausages but I didn’t mind the extra hash browns which were amazing!"
