「This is not a quiet hotel. It is more of a B&B. It is a beautiful place, and the art installations are really interesting. The furnishings in the room are really cool and funky. The neighborhood is very quaint, and the end is close to cafés and bars and galleries. That’s the good. There are no staff on site after the afternoon. One night there was no hot water. 「Cleanliness throughout was the best part. My room was spacious. I did not like the local room at the front of the building. It was strangely noisy at night, with dogs barking and noise from karaoke club behind the hotel. All in all it was a good experience in the location, away from the hustle and bustle.」

「The staff are generally friendly. Our first check-in at 3pm at Monte Alegre was smooth by friendly staff. Two days after, we decided to stay two extra days and paid via Expedia. I reached front desk at 8am to inform our extension, the in- charge staff suddenly picky about my reservation displayed name (a English called name) not match my passport name (a Chineses Canadian).
