Virgin Hotels Edinburgh

10/10 Excellent

"Just can’t say enough about the staff and the hotel. Highly recommend. Loved the location."

Hilton Edinburgh Carlton

8/10 Good

"Not up to the normal Hilton standards. Mold in the bathroom - ceiling and tub surround. Bed was very uncomfortable. Couch with pull out bed was not even something you could sit on, so paying for the additional space if the executive room wasn’t worth it. Literally toilet paper stuffed into holes in the wall for repairs? Scaffolding walkway right outside our windows and men were walking on them with no warning or prior notice."

Point A Edinburgh Haymarket

8/10 Good

"It was a nice clean room with a very nice bathroom. However it was the size of a closet and the lack of a window was not the best but we kind of knew it was just for a short stay so it fit the bill. Everything was very modern and clean so it was a pretty nice stay for our needs. No complaints and the location was very convenient"

Market Street Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel is located well and I would stay here again if I needed to but would probably choose to try another hotel next time I’m in Edinburgh. The room was serviceable, quite small with little storage and the view was a fire exit stairs ( we spend most of our time out and about so not a massive issue ). My partner felt let down that the cleaning staff came to make up the room late in the afternoon after we had been out all day and we were about to start to get ready for a dinner reservation. Getting seated and served in the bar was initially easy but depending on the staff it was sometimes hard to order another round or get the bill."
