"the hotel is a national historic landmark, is very old and with a lot of history, that said it feels kind of dated and gives that eerie haunted feel à la “the shining “ (it’s not haunted ok) but it’s definitely an experience, people in the area including hotel staff are super kind and helpful, and even though the breakfast is very basic and could improve, i’d recommend staying here."

"Enjoyable stay here for five nights. Clean and safe. Good breakfast - incudes waffles, cereals, toast/bagels/English muffins, Yoplait yogurts, fruit, oatmeals, juices - and a coffee/tea/hot chocolate maker (which is available all the time which was nice!). Great location in walking distance to a nice park, the lighthouse and plenty of great restaurants. If you’re sensitive to noise ask for a top floor room because we could hear our upstairs neighbors’ every footstep and frolick in bed, otherwise the place was perfect for exploring the Redwoods state parks!"

"Outside makes you a little hesitant but definitely cleaner than I was expecting especially for the price! Staff was very nice, free breakfast and WiFi. Honestly no complaints! "
