Looks Better Online – Meh in Person
The photographer who took the listing photos did a fantastic job—great lighting and editing made the property look very appealing online. While the property is mostly as advertised, it doesn't quite live up to what you'd expect from a typical Marriott-owned brand.
The hallways felt more like a motel than a hotel, and the location may not be for everyone. It's right next to what seems like…public housing/Marcy Projects vibe's, so if you're comfortable with that, it might not be a concern—but it's something to be aware of.
At around $159 a night, I personally didn’t feel the value matched the price. The rooms themselves were fine: sheets were crisp and clean, and the bathroom was also clean. So overall, it was a decent stay, just not what I had hoped for based on the online presentation and reviews. Also, note that the reviews on Expedia don't quite align with those on Google—definitely recommend doing your research before booking.
Thanks.
