This spot is awesome for getting around, whether you're hopping on a train or a bus. Plus, you can totally walk around feeling safe and sound. The host was super friendly too, which always makes a difference. It's a great little find that makes exploring so easy. Definitely a place worth checking out.

check in was terrible. you have to pay a mandatory fee to get an access code. there’s only two ways to pay it and both were down/having continuous error issues though we had more than enough funds. the customer service person did not give alternatives for us to enter the room. I almost had to book elsewhere but i managed to get a family member to go to the site and payment worked for them. Overall, good location and the room did the job but would definitely stay elsewhere in the future to avoid issues with check in. Stay somewhere with a front desk.

Ravi was an excellent worker at the Sonder Tribeca facility. As soon as I arrived he helped me with a code to get in and even helped my door dash food deliverer find me to give me my food. The hotel was easy. Small but clean new sheets and new towels. Aircon was working. Water was good temperature. Location is honestly amazing. Close to trains or if you're good at walking close to Soho etc. I would stay here again. Thank you Ravid and sonders.

Worse check in experience I’ve ever had. Self check in didn’t work and there was no one at front desk for a period of time. When he did arrive he showed complete disinterest while also assisting to clients at once and actually helping neither. He didn’t care, was rude and was completely useless, including failing to provide a receipt or confirmation of charge for an additional charge of $35 he requested. The water pressure on the shower and taps were either extremely weak (shower) or extremely strong (sink). Carpets in hallways were filthy and everything was generally untidy. All in all an unpleasant experience.

For a place that calls itself a four star hotel, you would expect quality satisfaction and service. For Duane Street Hotel, that was not the case. The ac was broken (temp was 82F in room), there were stains on the curtains and towels, we never received a PIN code via email to access our room, and the photos shown online do not match what the hotel looks like in person. For the cost we paid, we expected a lovely stay and quick ac repairs from staff. Instead we left extremely disappointed, misled, and overheated. Would not recommend this place if you want a relaxing experience.

I frequently travel to New York. Other than this hotel being in a great location, the process of checking in, communication w the non available host, & lack of room service, makes it not worth booking. Business operations are below par. Additionally, pictures online versus in person seem to not match up. If you are looking for a cheaper option & just need a place to lay your head for a night, by all means, book this hotel. It’s a safe area.

There are exactly zero people who work in the lobby - you'll get a digital code to dial into the building in your hotel room. That's all fine... Until your code stops working out of nowhere and you are locked out of both the hotel and your room in the rain and in a rush. There's a number to call if you are having an issue - but they utterly useless. Thanks for making me miss an extremely important meeting this morning!!!!
