「What a great host Angela was. We felt welcomed from the time we arrived. Our room was very clean and everything that was promised. The cliff trail was stunning and most needed after a long drive. The only issue I had was a lack of hot water when I showered. However, after breakfast it was fine.」

「Beautiful building in a lovely location just outside of Aberdeen. Lovely and clean, staff very friendly. Fridge in the room with bottles of water which is always good Slightly disappointed with the evening meal as the menu said 'hand cut chips' but they were just oven chips out of a bag. That said, I will definitely stay again 」

「What a lovely place to stay! From the roaring fire in the restaurant and bar , to the very friendly staff , Keira , Dee and Kyle to name a few. The style of the hotel was very much to our liking , room was very clean and spacious with a great view of the river. The bath was great and nice a warm shower. We enjoyed the 1st day so much we decided to extend our trip and stay for a further night. Thanks once again to all the staff , we will definitely be back . Andy B」

「The room was very clean, bed very comfortable. We arrived late due to the snow delaying us with blocked roads, and detours. The restaurant had closed, but they opened it up for us. The fish and chips were great. Great full Scottish breakfast set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again if up that way. The staff are very friendly and could not do enough to help. 」

「Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. 」

「All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was good and could be altered to suit different tastes. The bus service to get into town is a short walk from the hotel. It is not the best hotel and it is not the worst hotel by a long way but it suited us and we look forward to our next visit.」
