Historic property so a bit tired in places. Room was very small but quiet. Good quality breakfast including à la carte hot options. Onsite bar & restaurant hours were limited. Most staff were friendly & welcoming.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend break in this beautiful Victorian Country House Hotel. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Food in the restaurant was delicious, well presented, and good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Didn’t use the parking. Bar prices -expensive . Lovely grounds, very peaceful . Room we were in was quite dark and the lighting in it poor otherwise all good . Rooms all different so I think we were just unlucky it was dark and a bit dingy .

Hotel in lovely settings and outdoor gardens. Plenty parking no problems. Hotel was clean unfortunately it’s run down in areas chipped paint wallpaper ripped. Room was a good size and clean. Restaurant was nice and good menu. Breakfast was really nice. All staff friendly and helpful.

First too was far too small, asked for upgrade and initially told it would cost £300 so refused. Next day offered bigger room for £120 and took it due to the room size and wardrobe to fit our clothes away. Meals at Breakfast were adequate, dinner menu could be improved by more choice. Sunday roast and Fish/Chips were ace but Steak Pie was not.

Excellent stay and the staff so friendly. The room was in excellent condition and the only criticism I have, and it's incredibly petty is the the TV could have been bigger. I look forward to returning and finally sampling the whisky in the bar.

Spacious and clean rooms, lovely venue and excellent food in the greedy goose! I also felt it was good value for money and the breakfast was good with a large selection of options. We loved having our breakfast by the fire! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Banchory!
