「I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again.」

「Outstanding resort and grounds. Entire staff was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed the service and fresh food at the Grove restaurant. Hiking, biking and kayaking activities made our stay a wonderful experience. At night they had candles lights around the grounds. Very beautiful property! 」

「Fully stocked kitchen, they thought of all the little things. Host was friendly and showed us where everything was. There are only a few cabins/lodges on the property so it's quiet and peaceful. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off and getting some sun. We even made use of the full-size BBQ by the pool one night. Lots to do in the area (hiking, waterfalls, Calico Jacks, cave tubing) and San Ignacio is only 40 mins away. Note: you definitely need an SUV to get there (4x4 in wet...

「Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable. I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing. Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time.」

「Great property (seemingly) as we stayed for a night. Main issue: we came in at 12:30 to check-in (2pm reservation) - the property was empty (1 guest) but they refused to get us rooms till 2pm. We were hoping to freshen up before we headed to the next spot - we ended up going to the next spot & returning at 10pm & check-out at 6am. In short we’re not sure what the property has to offer but disappointed with the check-in capability with an empty resort. 」

「Jaguar Creek was an absolute gem!!! Not only is the location spectacular, but the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The location was so beautiful and relaxing. Onsite there so many beautiful plants and a couple of hiking trails that are recommended to really explore the area. The food is delicious and the menu changes daily. 「The property is very quiet and the staff is super helpful and nice. We felt the food was a bit overpriced for the portion sizes and the flavors were just okay. The drinks were amazing. The tour to the cave on property was fantastic! We did the horse back riding as well.」

「Cahel Pech is a great affordable option in San Ignacio. The pool setup is a fun amenity and meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel was happy to set us up with tours and local drivers too. On a Saturday night, the local town partied loudly until 3am but I can't really fault the hotel for that. The room could be improved with a new mattress and pillows. The view of the town is super nice and there's even a local bunny that is super friendly! Staff is top notch.」

「The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. 」
