We really enjoyed our two night stay. The staff was super accommodating whenever we asked for anything. The property is incredibly unique and really gives you the local, in the jungle vibe, but with a super nice room. Would happily come back.
What a cute place! The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we loved the pool. We will definitely stay again!
The front desk agent and manager are so courteous and friendly. Amazing staff amazing food and an amazing place. I definitely would visit and recommend others to to give it a shot!!
Nice central location. We were only people staying for our nights. Fantastic old bridge that was the best to see. Close to a national park with walking trails.
This was my second stay here this week. There were very few other guests, and it was quiet and peaceful. David and Criston, the young kitchen and bar employees, made me feel very welcome. They were friendly and attentive, and my food and drinks were top notch.
Staff really friendly. Nice cute little cottages. We really liked the one next to the stream. It had the sound of running water away from the highway. Pool was operational.
Pros: This property is beautiful and the Hibiscus room was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly.
Cons: We chose this hotel because it had a restaurant and we were unable to get a rental car due to high demand. The restaurant was closed for all meals. When we checked in, we were told there would be breakfast available but the one morning we wanted breakfast, they were not offering it. Note that if you stay here you will absolutely need a car to get around. The taxis into town were quite expensive. I would recommend staying in San Ignacio if you are looking to book excursions into the jungle as most tour operators use that as a jumping off point.
The overall atmosphere of the place was fantastic. It was far enough off the road that it was quiet, and it felt very secluded. The scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed the short walk to the restaurant and pool. We really can’t comment on the restaurant as we chose not to eat dinner there, as we were not hungry. So of course, the next morning we were starved. And they still were not open by 730. I’m not sure what time they did finally open. Also, being a coffee, lover, having no coffee pot in my room was a bummer. We finally drove into town to find a cup of coffee and breakfast.
The pool was lovely. Perfect temperature.
We only stayed one night, thankfully, but were very disappointed. We arrived at the property after a warm afternoon of sightseeing, and were looking forward to a nice swim and a cocktail at the swim up bar. After checking in, there were no staff around, the restaurant was empty, and the bar looked like it had never been open. When we found an employee, they said they did not serve alcohol. They did not seem to serve anything really, and there were signs everywhere about no outside food or drink. Our cabin was nice enough, but was right next to the highway, so very noisy. Would not recommend.
Could have been great. Nice rooms and a nice looking property when you arrive. Staff does not seem to have the amount of training to properly run a property however. The resort played up the pool and onsite restaurant. Wife wanted the pool, the only big request she had. The pool was not cleaned most of the week and the after hours staff did not know how to turn the lights on. So you have a great day doing things off property and come back to hang out at the pool. In the dark. Restaurant hours were published as 6-8. Sometimes the staff didn't open the restaurant, other times they opened late and closed early. When we did catch up, it took 1.5hrs (no joke) for our food and the orders were wrong. The high school kids working there as water boys and waitresses were (unfortunately) obviously untrained and unmotivated. We sat with empty glasses most of our meal. Other guests had the same experience. Hung out the "please clean room" sign and finally had to complain to get additional linens and towels. The property has potential, no doubt about it. However serious training of staff is needed. Pros - close to the capital so you can go get food, etc. Clean, comfortable room, nice area.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Kiki Witz. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and nice, and the grounds were lovely. Lots of beautiful birds and other animals to see.
Beautiful, serene, grounds with sparkling clean cabins and villas. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed interacting with them when needed.
