「Staff is very nice and beach is perhaps the best or one of the best in SXM. Inconsistencies with how staff can / cannot bill lunch to your room. Reception says yes. Some restaurant staff say yes. Some say no, you need a card or cash. Why? They can’t, for some reason, or don’t want to include tips when charging to the room. But, beach boys have no problem with this. Something they need to fix. The location is perfect, it is clean, quiet, the staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is always great whether you order something or just use the continental, and there is plenty of parking if you have a vehicle. As a solo traveler, I feel very safe in this area, and on the island which is a plus! The dinners at l’astrolabe restaurant are also yummy and delicious.
