"The rooms are beautifully renovated and the lobby is beyond gorgeous! Beware when booking because this hotel is located on the busy Collins street. It was not an issue for me as I sleep with earplugs, but if you are a light sleeper this is not for you. The staff is generally friendly. However, we asked for a simple candle for our son birthday and they all looked at us as if we are asking for the moon!"

"Staff is not easy to communicate with. They do not work together when important information is given to you. Once you call back they pretend not to know or not willing to be helpful. I spent my entire morning trying to get things resolved. It was my daughter Prom and she was just taken Pictures outside staff came and stood in the shot and said we could not take Pictures. Keep in mind several guest was taking Pictures. You also pay for open view however ocean is at a distance you 1st see building, everything else before the ocean view. Not pleasing at all."

"It was a clean place to lay my head. I'm upper middle class Chicago, & I wasn't discussed or anything, but I wasn't excited either to bring others who chose different arrangements here either! I was content, & this is suitable arrangements for above board in & out in a few days type activities!"

"The front desk staff is absolutely amazing. When we were about to check in a front desk staff by Anil helped us get a free upgrade. I had originally booked a Jr Suite in Sorrento tower partial view of ocean and Anil upgraded us to full ocean view suite. Overall staff is great, property is extremely clean My only issue was with the wristbands system during weekends. Instead of keeping these wristbands handy by the pool entrances to make it convenient for hotel guests they make you go all the way to front desk to get these wristbands which is so inconvenient. Secondly you have to preserve these wristbands (which no one told us) and if you lose it and want to access the pool is 50$ per person but the front desk staff was very accommodating and waived us the fee but I would appreciate if this information is told beforehand to guests that they need to preserve their wristbands Overall we had an excellent stay here and they private beach access is so convenient and the beach staff is great too. We will come back here next time we’re in Miami"

2/10 Terrible

"Check in was extremely difficult due to the receptionist ‘Mai’. I booked for 2 rooms at the cost of $433. She asked if we wanted connecting rooms. I then told her if it was available, yes. We in fact did not get connecting rooms (no big deal) just rooms next door to each other and was charged $40 more for the convenience. Again, completely understand but this was not mentioned prior to. The showers were terrible, there was no threshold to keep water from coming out of the shower, had I not noticed, the bathroom floor would have been covered by water. None the less, after a long day of travel I just wanted to rest. As I pull the sheets back, there’s what looks like oxidized blood stains on the sheets. I work in the service industry, so I’m not big on complaints. I simply went down, made them aware of what happened. Housekeeping then went and changed the sheets. I was weary the entire afternoon and could not sleep. My fiancé and I thought it’d be a good idea to attend the rooftop bar and pool. The pool area and scenery was amazing. The bartender was also very friendly and very helpful with drink recommendations. All in all the stay wasn’t great, but there were very few things that kept me in good spirits."

"The cards did not work at the door of the room on multiple days, so i had to walk back long distance to the lobby desk multiple times ( to fix the cards to enter my room). No elevator! It is better to book a hotel near attractions (instead of near Miami airport because nothing near airport, only traffics all the times)."

"Okay so first things first the property is in prime location in Miami. You can't get better than this because I didn't even need to rent a car I used lyrt and uber for my week stay and was okay. The room was clean and modern and the bedrooms were really nice. Some of the amenities are a bit strange. You also cannot get housekeeping until 3 days back to back of staying which is... odd. Isn't that included in fees? Other than that if you order food there is NO room service. If that changes and they allow daily housekeeping and room service I Guarantee they would definitely be a five out of five"
