This is dormitory housing, decently priced for what you get in a very expensive city. Staff is very friendly, and breakfast is excellent, including good vegetarian and vegan choices. However, beware that the mattresses are saggy, the hot water is temperamental at times and the en-suite bathroom is small.

Had a fantastic stay here for a couple of nights while down for work events. The check-in and bag storage process is very easy and the staff were very friendly. The room itself is basic but has all the amenities you need, such as bedside drawers, a wardrobe and a sink with vanity mirror. The breakfast is absolutely superb, with a wide variety of cooked and continental options. Highly recommend staying here if you are in a budget.

Quiet location close to Angel tube. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. Towels and toiletries provided. Breakfast excellent with huge variety of food and plenty of choices even for gluten free guests. Staff pleasant and helpful. Excellent value. Would certainly stay here again.

Very decent value for the location, and no real issues with the room or accommodation, it felt secure. But the room was very hot (a good fan in the room, but struggled to sleep) and the internal fire doors are very loud, so if you are unlucky with someone near to your room returning in the early hours it will likely wake you up!

Nice clean room, let down by poor breakfast service. You need to stand in a queue in a corridor for a long time to be able to use the included breakfast as the facilities are not sufficient for the level of guests. Do not count on being able to eat breakfast if you have morning plans.

Positives - it was cheap and the breakfast was good. Negatives - incredibly noisy at night, with other guests slamming doors and shouting in the corridors. The rooms have no soundproofing. Was woken up twice after midnight by the noise. The communal toilet was stained and dirty in the morning and there was no staff member around to clean it. Really off-putting and unhygienic.

Super value for money! Bear in mind this is student accommodation so it's 'no frills' and is only available during the school holidays. We booked a twin room with an ensuite. It was spacious and spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy. Linen, towels, shampoo and shower gel are provided (this is unclear in the information). The breakfast was beautiful with a choice of everything for a full English and continental. Check-in is at 3pm but you are able to leave your bags in the luggage room. There is a lovely street lined with cafes just around the corner. The location was ideal. We were going to a gig at The Garage in Islington and a festival at Victoria Park near Hackney. The Garage was a half hour walk away and after the festival we were able to get a bus to Clerkenwell quite easily. Would definitely stay here again!
