Hash browns were frozen and nobody apologised.milk in the room was out of date nobody apologised. No replenishment of coffee/milk in room after 1st night definitely not 4star
Staff were very helpful and were happy to deal with any queations. Rooms are tired and need a bit of updating.
The bar and restaraunt were not open, although staff did provide non alcholic alternatives. Breakfast was a grab bag which was disapointing.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property was not clean. It was difficult to communicate with staff for any requests. The facilities are poor and old. The hand wash was replaced with hand cream. The price for the room is outrageous for the poor facilities and room appearance
Poor start from the begining, found out that the hotel was under new management. Although thd staff tried to help, they also did not know what was going on. The room decor was tired and old, damp in the corner and un exciting to say the least, so much that we left and never went back. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone.
Sorry!
Good size room, nice breakfast area. Staff were reasonably helpful after asking multiple times.

Park in their Carpark at your own risk!
Vehicle had rear tailgate window smashed and a bag was stolen out of the boot overnight. No CCTV in their Carpark and if they actually had a night porter nothing was seen even with the vehicle parked close to the reception area. Disappointing experience to say the least.

Disliked: Staff & service
The property was just okay and very dated and in need of a facelift
Hotel is fine but check-in was appalling, there was already one person waiting. When the one member of staff on duty arrived there were problems so my wait was very long. He then couldn't find my booking, blaming Hotels.Com, he kept saying it over and over despite me saying I must have used Hotels.com well over 300 times with absolutely no problems.... very odd, he gave me the room but made a real point of saying he was doing me a favour and the hotel would have to chase Hotels.Com for the payment....
Staff polite and accommodating. Was woken up by noisy lad next door at 1.30, rang reception and it was dealt with at once.
Cooked breakfast could have been warmer but I was one of the last to come down, so to be expected.
Staying her again in 2 weeks. A nice safe place for a woman on her own.
This Hotel is like a poor old woman keeping up appearances staff friendly everywhere dusty drapes windows uncleaned at breakfast management has told staff to make themselves scarce I even had my breakfast table cleared before i had begun to eat.
The owners are obviously focused on income only and they themselves instruct their staff and management to give zero help.to their guests as they themselves have total disrespect for those that stay.
The building is great the owners are greedy money focused idiots.

Nothing about this place is 4 star!
Two words - fawlty towers! We book two rooms and confirmed in advance that they would be interconnecting but arrived to find they were not. No apology. We requested a cot and were given one folded and had to put it up ourselves. Were not given a sheet for it. Rooms were cold with no proper heating system. Eventually the gave us a free drink. Place is very old and the pictures on the website make it look like a different place!

Mr Black
Keep up the good work and don’t drop your standards....congrats
Location for visiting town centre, hospital & Richmond Park is excellent. Star of the show though is the staff. They were so friendly & helpful. Rooms are comfortable with 2 easy chairs, tea making facilities. My room needed light bulb replacing and there was only a lamp on one side of bed.
When we arrived we were told that there was a Xmas party later that evening but because we were at the back we wouldn’t hear any noise unfortunately we did & when we finally got to sleep we were woken at 1am by people fighting outside our room
It appears that rooms in the basement do not have heating (not broken, they just don"t have it)!!!! Really love being freezing cold in the middle of winter in a so called 4 star hotel (which it most definitely isn't - 2 star scraping 3 star perhaps).
They did put a very small fan heater in the room but you can't leave it on when you go out (don"t want to risk a fire )or when you go to bec (too noisy to sleep).
Nothing on their website saying no heating and not even informed on check in. Dreadful service - asked for blankets and / or an additional duvet too but never given any. Note - the duvet on the bex was a very thin foam one which didn't keep you warm at all.
I asked to soeak to the duty manager an hour after check in before going out but was told they were busy in a function. I was told they would be available from 8am the following morning. I asked to see them at check out ((10.15am) and was told he wasn't up yet. I said thar i want to see him as i don't believe the room and lack of sleep warrants the price I paid. Reception called him, was told he would be down shortly. After waiting 20 mins, he still hadn"t appeared. I gave up in the end as had somewhere to be. Will never return there or recommend to anyone
