4 night stay for my mate and I in a private room. Staff at this location is top notch; friendly, helpful and well trained. Showers are hot and have more than sufficient pressure. Location to St. Pancreas/King’s Cross as well as Russell Square Tube station is very convenient. Their bar/coffee service is excellent and the breakfast buffet is well worth the cost-do not pass on this. Definitely the prize of the stay.

I’m only giving 4 stars because I did not feel safe, when I was doing the check in I was approached by what I thought was a homeless but right after he head into the bar to drink… But other than that 5 stars for everything, I stayed there for a company event, I took forever to book so I did not much option around, I’m on my 40’s and this is an atmosphere for young people, but I ended up on the bar, talking to the crown, it was a fun environment. Ended up enjoying everything. I had the super queen room which was super clean, towels and toiletries included.

In terms of value for money, the room was enough to catch a good night's sleep. For any light sleepers, there are thin walls so you can hear doors slamming and general chatter outside the rooms. Facilities were clean to use and the location is great. Self check in was simple enough too. The staff, from security to reception, were very rude to everyone, not just us. It felt completely unwarranted and seems like the staff have no interest in engaging with customers. Such a shame as hostel staff typically have a reputation for being friendly and approachable! We didn't have the food or drinks there so can't comment on that but it looked lively when passing it.

A very nice hostel situated just next to Kings Cross and Euston Railways and Tube stations. Best location in the heart of London, easy public transportation access, safe and clean and convenient, beds are very comfortable, staff are very friendly, shoutout to Prince, Carlos, Junior and Ainy (If I spelt it right) for being fantastic, use this hostel on all my travels to London.

Considering price, excellent. Stayed over for the Eurostar next morning Booked twin room (bunk beds) with middle aged Mum Not ensuite, but shower room down the hall, toilets were opposite room. Lift all working if tight. They supplied towels in the twin room and fans as was very warm If on top bunk in summer suggest taking hand held fan They had restaurant and 24/7 entertainment/bar downstairs and people were up watching the World Cup. Must have had very good sound proofing as didn't hear anything

Staff unhelpful and didn’t give much advice about room etc massively inflated prices for vending machines extortionate prices for a more private room and very noisy at almost 1 am when checking in also the whole building smelled of weed. Didn’t end up staying after check in I left key at reception and walked out and went to another hotel

Les chambres sont plutôt pas mal et biens pour une auberge. En revanche la salle de bain est assez catastrophique.. portes cassées, douches assez usées, à revoir ! Le personnel très gentil et tout le reste est top!

The best thing about the Generator is the location. You can get to the sights easily. It was my first time staying in shared rooms with communal bath and shower. It's not for the introvert. I can see the allure for young people though. London is expensive and if you can save money while visiting the city then places like the Generators cater to your wallet.

Overall a very positive experience, very reasonably priced, helpful staff and plenty of amenities within the building to enjoy and take part in. Great for all ages, only complaint would be the Matresses are very tough to sleep on. Highly recommend otherwise.
