It was quite the tiniest room I’ve stayed in but perfect for the solo traveller. And staff were exceptional. Greeted me for a bag drop off, left my bags ready for me when I got to the room along with a lovely, thoughtful welcome gift. And a tea trolley outside my door in the morning. Great location.

Good location, in a quiet, pleasant street, close to King’s Cross Station. The room was clean, comfortable and just as described. The fridge was useful and it was lovely to have ice cold water and other cold drinks and chocolate biscuits included gratis. Check-in was smooth and communication was excellent. What made my stay superlative were the helpful staff and extra touches, like taking my cases up to the room while I explored the area (as I arrived early), fresh sandwiches left in the room and a little welcome gift with handwritten note. A tea trolley is left outside each room at 8am too. Loved this! Recommended.

One of the most stressful and misleading stays I’ve ever had. The property was advertised as soundproof, but traffic noise was constant all night and the front door had a large gap that made it even louder and let bright light in. People walked right past the ground-floor windows all night, which made the apartment feel unsafe. Several parts of the listing were inaccurate: the property was shown as Rokxy Townhouse at 29 Argyle Square, but we were placed at 35 Swinton Street on a very busy main road. Facilities shown online (like the retro arcade and Peloton rooms) were not available. It also advertised a free minibar that didn’t exist—after raising it, the listing was edited and we were handed a few inexpensive convenience-store drinks instead. The “24-hour front desk concierge” was just WhatsApp messages from one person. When we raised our concerns, we were told it was “best for all concerned that we part ways,” and then informed we needed to leave and that the access codes would be changed. From our perspective, this left us feeling pressured to leave immediately, and we suddenly had nowhere to stay—with a three-month-old baby. Expedia were unable to secure a refund at the time. We paid £679 for two nights, and the stay simply did not match the listing. The inaccuracies, noise, safety concerns, and how the situation was handled completely overshadowed our trip. I strongly recommend checking all details carefully before booking.

The pre-arrival and arrival communications from the concierge was excellent. The location was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The room was tiny, the en-suite tinier still! No room to swing a kitten! The general appearance was rather shabby and worn with tatty and frayed mats, chipped paint etc. A lot of noise at night from outside, but that’s not the hotels’ fault.

Hossain and all the staff were great. Friendly and helpful. They looked after our bags when we arrived, brought tea in the morning and helped carry bags to the nearby tube station. Together with some nice snacks and refreshments in the room, this made a great stay. Highly recommended.

The most welcoming and helpful staff I have ever met. Mir was a great host. Room is small but comfortable. Came with some snack items and drinks in the mini bar that were included. Even brought us morning tea before we departed. Was helpful with luggage storage. The location is fabulous, easy walking to Kings Cross station. I have no complaints. I hope to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was very convenient to the St Pancras International Train station and only a short walk. We booked the Queen Room for two nights. The room was perfect for a two night stay and we got some goodies upon arrival. Also, we got a cart of tea and the daily paper each morning. Upon entry we were greeted by Mir and he was excellent! He made us feel very welcomed and helped us with our bags into our room. Mir was our point of contact during our stay and definitely was great to know that we could reach out directly to him during our stay. We definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something close to the train station and a friendly and courteous staff!

Customer service. Stayed for one night for a business trip and chose this due to location which is ideal as only 5 minute walk from Kings Cross station. Selected the Kings Suite which is located on the lower ground floor and even has a small outdoor space. The room is very good in size and has a 3 person table, double bed, seating area and small kitchen area. There is a large wet room and the decor is excellent. The real standout is the customer service. There are so many little things that they do (and don’t have to) which makes them stand well above others.From the personalised hand-written card and gift, to the complimentary food and drink in the room, to the morning tea trolley with newspaper etc that is waiting for you at your door in the morning. It really does make a difference and nothing is too much trouble. Mir is a superstar! So friendly and helpful and can’t do any more for you. Thanks Mir! Also a huge 5 stars for the communication you receive in the build up to your stay. Emails; texts and WhatsApps making sure you have everything you need, not only for a personal welcome and smooth checkin, but also with recommendations for places to visit or eat at locally. The customer service is above pretty much most other hotels. Well done Team Rokxy!
