"The hotel was very convenient for my party of 4, because it was right in the city centre of Kyoto, making it easy to move around . I did find the breakfast pretty expensive, especially since there wasn’t a lot I could eat. Also the other thing I noticed, was my friend luggage was bought to her room by the porter “but” my wasn’t !! So I’m now asking myself the question, is it because my friend is Japanese ????"
"Great location! The hotel is right across from the Kyoto Station, so it was so convenient getting everywhere! Although the rooms were a bit on the smaller side, we did not spend much time in the room because of their onsen and sauna! They were very comfortable and nice after a long day of walking."
"The staff was excellent and the hotel itself was very nice. The property is literally across the street from the train station which made this an excellent hub to explore Tokyo. The only thing that was missing was an Onsen. I would highly recommend this property."
"Kyoto these days is packed with tourists. The Brighton is just far enough from the center of town to be quiet and restful while still being convenient. The amenities are far superior to those of similarly priced hotels. My room was large, sparkling clean and looked out at a lovely garden. I only experienced the buffet-style Western breakfast - a large variety of items, all freshly made and delicious. Coffee, too, was very good. And every member of the staff was kind and helpful. I strongly hope these qualities are retained after the upcoming renovation."
