"The room smell was ridiculous as soon as we walked in it smelled like pee and old water. The tv did not work. The toilet shot out water from the side every flush. The tub was dirty and stained. The sink had build up within the faucet handles. It looks like they barely cared to touch it. I spent $20 on cleaning products at dollar general to try and make the smell ok to sleep but even so it smelled like fabulous piss. They have not swept outside at all. "Some issues with the toilet not flushing well but otherwise was a great place. The rooftop pool had an amazing view to just relax in the evening even if not getting into the pool. The location was convenient to just walk to French quarter, river walk and convention center. I would stay there again if I come back to New Orleans "

"We had a great stay at Royal Sonesta! Staff was extremely friendly from the moment we stepped out of our taxi and was greeted by Caleb! We had interior balcony room and heard no sound from Bourbon St! Pool area was enjoyed by my children. While we traveled with our kids, and didn’t love Bourbon St (didn’t feel unsafe just not our scene) we were able to skirt around the hotel and were able to avoid it which was easy to do! We did however LOVE the Cafe Beignet and music legends park right across the street!"

Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Qtr - Astor by IHG

"I liked that it was right on the corner of Canal and Bourbon. I didn’t like that I had to pay $50 a night for parking and a resort fee when it doesn’t offer resort amenities!"
