「Staff so friendly and helpful , lovely room , food amazing, ample parking, highly recommend」

「We stayed here while at the State Fayre festival and will definitely stay here again if there is another festival next year. Friendly staff, lovely gardens and comfortable rooms (although air conditioning would’ve been nice during the heatwave!) Only suggestion would be: upgrade the toiletries in the rooms please. Two tiny watery bottles is not enough!」

「So it took me about 20 minutes to get into the property because they don’t have staff in on a Sunday- the intercom doesn’t then allow entry into the building. After a long wait and conversation that basically made me feel like an inconvenience for staying there- eventually I get into the building and at this point I have a surprise pre-authorisation to do of £70 where I have to read my card details to a lady who clearly has random people in the room with her- not thrilled about that. 「The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable, although the room was small, and if you ended up stuck inside, you’d quickly become claustrophobic. Likewise, the picture used to advertise the hotel is not a picture of any public or restaurant space in the hotel building, but a picture of the pub/restaurant 150 feet away. 「Excellent well kept property, the only issue is there is no parking with the property and local Chelmsford parking is restrictive only till 5am and the local carparks are exceptionally expensive.」

「Plenty of parking available, the staff were friendly and helpful. The actual accommodation is very tired and dated. The sink in the bathroom was totally cracked and in my opinion could be dangerous.」

「The bathroom was dirty, clearly had not been cleaned properly in some time, there was hair all over the floor, dirt build up around the shower tray and shower itself. Windows were also very dirty. The breakfast bag is not worth it as it’s not ready to go you have to wait 10mins for the hot part!」
